Here are a couple questions/comments from residents about the Stafford Road Improvements and responses from Jonathan Hangartner

Wow - it's disheartening to see the impact to all the natural beauty, but I suppose it's a necessary evil. Does anyone know what the planting will look like in the center? I'm so hopeful it will be natural and look similar to the Rosemont Roundabout. The new ones in West Linn near the baseball fields are terrible as they are just filled with concrete.

😣

The plantings in the center of the new Childs Rd will look like the Rosemont roundabout (a mix of trees and shrubs).

Lastly, do they make any plans to replace trees that are being cut down, further back from the road, or is this a request we can make? There will be hundreds of trees and thousands of shrubs planted along the Pecan Creek area. The slopes between the roadway and private property will be covered with grass.

Any news on the High Voltage Powerline project? I'm so worried that will be postponed and then ultimately approved well after all of these road closures and we'll be looking at another 2-3 years of construction. It seems like the should just combine their efforts and buried the lines now! All utilities in conflict with the road improvements are required to relocate. Many of these utilities have already been relocated or are currently being relocated. The existing power lines within the road project area will be relocated this winter (October ’25 thru May ’26). The land use application for the proposed PGE Tonquin Project is still in review, and the nature of PGE’s relocations has not yet been finalized.
